Implementasi Aplikasi Ngl (not Gonna Lie) Sebagai Media Pencegahan Dan Penanganan Perundungan Di Smp Kota Makassar
Year: 2026
Type: article
Abstract: This study aims to examine the implementation of the NGL (Not Gonna Lie) application as a tool for preventing and addressing bullying in junior high schools in Makassar City, focusing on four stages: dissemination, reporting channels, the complaint handling process, and continuous evaluation and improvement. A descriptive qualitative approach was employed, with data collected through semi-structured interviews with school principals, NGL administrators, guidance counselors, and four students; findings were supplemented by documentation and validated through source and method triangulation. Implementation proceeded via institutionalized, multi-layered dissemination that successfully dispelled the stigma equating "reporting" with "snitching," utilized barcode-based anonymous reporting channels, and employed a tiered complaint handling process verified through guidance team briefings and CCTV footage. Continuous evaluation focused on strengthening verification infrastructure; the volume of reports rose from 0–1 to 5–10 per month following the application's adoption. This study is the first to examine the institutional use of a popular anonymous app—adopted organically by adolescents—as a mechanism for bullying prevention and intervention in formal schools, supported by primary interview data from both school personnel and student users.
