Abstract: Household financial resilience has become increasingly important in the face of economic uncertainty, financial shocks, and changing household financial needs. Financial literacy and financial inclusion are widely recognized as important factors that may strengthen households’ ability to manage financial resources, cope with economic shocks, and maintain financial stability. This study aims to examine the impact of financial literacy and financial inclusion on household financial resilience by synthesizing findings from previous empirical studies. The literature indicates that financial literacy contributes to financial resilience through improved financial knowledge, informed decision-making, effective budgeting, saving behavior, responsible credit management, and risk mitigation. Meanwhile, financial inclusion supports resilience by providing households with access to formal financial services, financial products, credit, savings facilities, and digital financial services. Several studies further indicate that financial inclusion may strengthen the effect of financial literacy by enabling individuals to translate financial knowledge into effective financial behavior and access appropriate financial resources. However, the relationship may vary across demographic groups, economic conditions, and institutional contexts. Overall, the reviewed literature suggests that strengthening financial literacy alongside expanding inclusive access to appropriate financial services can contribute to greater household financial resilience. The findings highlight the importance of integrated financial education and financial inclusion strategies to reduce household financial vulnerability and improve long-term economic stability.
