Abstract: Anxiety is a psychological aspect that can influence an athlete's readiness and performance when facing a match. Football players are required to possess physical, technical, tactical, and mental readiness to perform optimally, especially when facing high-pressure match situations. This study aims to determine the pre-competition anxiety levels of PSPS Pulonas Football Club players in Southeast Aceh Regency in 2025. The study employs a quantitative approach with a descriptive research design. The population consists of all 20 players from the PSPS Pulonas Football Club, Southeast Aceh Regency (2025), selected using a total sampling technique. Data collection was conducted using a Likert-scale questionnaire. The obtained data were analyzed descriptively using mean scores and percentages, then categorized based on the assessment norms used in the study. The analysis revealed a total score of 1,329 and a mean score of 66.45, placing the athletes' anxiety level in the moderate category (100%). Meanwhile, no athletes fell into the low or high categories. Based on the results, it can be concluded that the pre-competition anxiety level of PSPS Pulonas Football Club players in Southeast Aceh Regency (2025) is in the moderate category, with a mean score of 66.45. These results indicate that psychological aspects, particularly anxiety, require attention during the athlete development process. Therefore, coaches and mentors are expected to provide appropriate mental guidance and psychological training so that athletes can manage anxiety and enhance their readiness for matches.
