Abstract: De-scattering imaging seeks to recover target information from the scattered images, which has increasingly garnered attention due to its wide-ranging applications across various fields. Scattering media such as fog and turbid water can severely degrade imaging quality, thereby obstructing the accurate recovery of important details for identifying targets. Existing methods struggle to maintain de-scattering performance in practical complex strong scattering media. To address this challenge, we propose an sCMOS array detection system that utilizes color channel simulation and independent exposure adjustment mechanisms. Our system significantly extends the dynamic range and enhances the signal-to-noise ratio of raw scattering data. By introducing a passive colorful de-scattering pipeline, we achieve high-quality reconstruction in strong scattering conditions that preserves the target's chromatic identity. Experiments in outdoor foggy conditions demonstrate the system's effectiveness in recovering target's shape and color. Further validation in aquaculture setting indicates the generalization of our method. This work paves the way for outdoor passive imaging applications under challenging scattering conditions.
