Abstract: In the Research Article e8536600, Joonghan Kim, Tae Wu Kim, Myong Yong Choi, and co-workers reveal how pulsed laser irradiation converts NiCo2O4 into NiCo alloy. Time-resolved in situ X-ray absorption spectroscopy and DFTB molecular dynamics show facile hydrogen atom transfer from ethanol to lattice oxygen, whereas entropy-driven oxygen release requires transient local temperatures near 1000 K, set by laser fluence.
