It represents a remarkable process of growth, development, and maternal nurturing. During this period, the developing fetus depends entirely on the maternal organism for its nutritional requirements, oxygen supply, and overall development. Therefore, maintaining maternal health and ensuring adequate nutrition are essential prerequisites for achieving favourable maternal and fetal outcomes.
