Abstract: The National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) and Health Management Associates (HMA) on Oct. 28 announced the release of a new Strategic Plan and Implementation Roadmap through the National Collaborative for Crisis Systems Innovation, an initiative launched earlier this year to advance the nation's evolving behavioral health crisis system. NAMI and HMA noted that the launch of the 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline created a historic opportunity to build a crisis response system that is coordinated, equitable, sustainable and trusted, but emphasized that significant work remains. The roadmap is designed to help translate that vision into action. The collaborative's efforts will focus on four key priorities: awareness, access, capacity and quality. The collaborative aims to drive innovation, strengthen partnerships and accelerate progress in crisis response nationwide.
