Abstract: The article assesses the participation of women scientists in economic research and innovative development in Uzbekistan on the basis of official statistical data. Statistical, dynamic, comparative and systems analysis methods were used. It was found that in 2025 women accounted for 17.4 thousand, or 40.4%, of the 43.1 thousand researchers engaged in research and development work. The number of women enrolled in basic doctoral programs rose from 824 in 2019 to 4,859 in 2025, an almost 5.9-fold increase. In 2022–2025, 156 of the 1,612 projects submitted to the “Women Scientists” competition received funding totaling 127.3 billion soums. The analysis substantiates the need for an integral mechanism linking the growth of research potential with the commercialization of research results, cooperation with enterprises and the measurement of economic impact. It is proposed to manage women scientists’ projects on the basis of a problem–research–pilot testing–commercialization–economic impact chain, to introduce performance indicators and to develop regional innovation orders.
