Abstract: The article describes the botanical, biological, morphological and ecological characteristics of common purslane Portulaca oleracea L., the conditions of its range, and its cultivation technology and agronomic practices, gives a general description of the natural conditions of Karakalpakstan and the climatic features of the Republic of Karakalpakstan, and outlines the medicinal properties of the raw material of common purslane Portulaca oleracea L. It also presents data on growing the plant under regional (saline, arid and hot) conditions, its importance in the food and pharmaceutical industries, and the technology of its cultivation under the conditions of Karakalpakstan.
