Hardy–Littlewood Singular Series Unifies Twin Primes and Goldbach — E8 Intelligence Research
Year: 2026
Type: preprint
Abstract: FINDING: The Hardy–Littlewood singular series governs the asymptotic density of prime k-tuples; the twin-prime constant C₂ ≈ 1.9021605831 is its k=2 case, and the Goldbach problem shares the same singular-series machinery. | MATH: Twin-prime constant C₂ = ∏_{p>2} [1 − 1/(p−1)²] = 2∏_{p>2} (1 − 1/p)²·(1 − 1/(p−1)²)... more precisely C₂ = ∏_{p≥3} p(p−2)/(p−1)² ≈ 1.902160583104. Twin-prime counting: π₂(x) ~ 2C₂ x/(ln x)². Goldbach: r(n) ~ 2C₂ · n/(ln n)² · ∏_{p|n, p>2} (p−1)/(p−2) for even n. Singular series S(k) = ∏_p β_p(k), where β_p is the local density of admissible k-tuples mod p. | CONNECTION: The factor (p−1)/(p−2) and the product structure over primes is a multiplicative Euler product — the same analytic architecture as ζ(s) = ∏_p (1−p^{−s})^{−1}. The constant C₂ ≈ 1.902 is not a geometric-harmony constant (not 0.618, 1.618, etc.); it is an arithmetic invariant of the prime lattice ℤ, not a crystallographic or root-system ratio.
