Faster-than-Light Communication via Change of Space Topology: The S-Switching Mechanism

Year: 2026
Type: preprint
Abstract: The article proposes a new mechanism of superluminal communication based on the "universes here" model. Key clarification: a distinction is introduced between the ontological selector S (the equilibrium parameter of a universe) and the epistemic choice G (the observer's choice, scale). This resolves the contradiction between the epistemic status of G and the physical mechanism of switching. It is shown that the universe U(S) is a system with stable parameters of space-time that activates certain categories of elements of reality from the complete set Ω. The metaphor of "puddles after rain" illustrates: the activation of elements of reality is natural selection under equilibrium, not the choice of an observer. The topology of space T(S) is considered as a function of S. At different S space has a different topological structure. The key concept is the "fold": a topological defect connecting distant points and making them "neighboring" in another S. Superluminal communication is accomplished not by creating a fold, but by using an already existing one. The transmitter does not create an interface — it finds an existing topological path. This removes the question of the energy of switching. The signal formula: signal_out = T(S')(signal_in), where T is a topological transformation (an isomorphism), not a projection. A comparison is conducted with existing models: Morris–Thorne wormholes, extra dimensions (IDMM), the CMB frame, Everett's MWI, Tegmark's Multiverse, MIW of Hall, Wiseman, and Deckert. The model is unique: it requires neither extra dimensions, nor exotic matter, nor a preferred frame, nor branching, nor interaction between worlds, nor the creation of a new topology. The question of the model's compatibility with causality is left open. Possible areas of search are discussed: anomalies in the cosmic microwave background, vacuum fluctuations, H0 tension, anomalies in the distribution of galaxies.
