Abstract: Post-COVID-19 condition represents a global public health problem characterized by persistent symptoms affecting multiple organ systems, among which sleep disorders and anxiety stand out, whose bidirectional relationship significantly compromises the quality of life of those who suffer from it. Objective: To analyze the influence of sleep quality and the presence of anxiety in people with post-COVID-19 sequelae, providing evidence that strengthens the role of the clinical laboratory in the comprehensive surveillance of these sequelae in the local context of the province of Manabí. Study design: A systematic bibliographic review was conducted following PRISMA guidelines, with searches in databases such as PubMed, Scopus, Web of Science, SciELO and Google Scholar, period 2022–2026, finally including 35 publications in the qualitative synthesis. Results: Prevalences of sleep disturbances between 31% and 95.3%, and anxiety between 6.7% and 86% were evidenced, confirming a significant association between both variables, with female sex, comorbidities and severity of infection as the main risk factors. Conclusion: Sleep disorders and anxiety constitute the most frequent sequelae of post-COVID-19 syndrome, and their management requires a multidisciplinary intervention integrating validated instruments such as the PSQI and GAD-7, laboratory biomarkers and therapeutic strategies aimed at improving the patient's quality of life.
