Abstract: This paper addresses the investigation of the optimal conditions for obtaining high-purity silicon dioxide (SiO2) from rice husk, an agricultural waste product. The substantial content of silicon compounds in rice husk makes it a promising raw material for silicon dioxide production. The study analyzes the effect of the stages of rice husk pretreatment, removal of organic components, thermal treatment and chemical extraction on the yield and purity of SiO2. The process parameters for isolating silicon dioxide by alkaline extraction followed by acid precipitation are considered. The importance of evaluating the effects of temperature, time, reagent concentration, pH and the raw material-to-reagent ratio in determining the optimal process conditions is substantiated. The results may serve as a scientific basis for producing value-added silicon-based materials from rice husk and for improving agricultural waste processing technologies.
