Abstract: This article addresses the use of thermal insulation materials to improve the energy efficiency of modern buildings, reduce heat losses and ensure a comfortable indoor microclimate. In particular, the physical and mechanical properties and thermal performance of basalt-based thermal insulation materials are analyzed. The low thermal conductivity, high heat resistance, fire safety, long service life and environmental acceptability of basalt fiber materials make it possible to use them for insulating the external walls, roof coverings and other structural elements of buildings and structures. The article compares basalt materials with other widely used thermal insulation materials and considers the use of local raw materials and the prospects for basalt insulation in energy-efficient construction.
