Type: dataset
Abstract: This data table is published to align with a 2026 publication in Movement Ecology,"Context-dependent dispersal directionality in a headwater stream salamander". The complete long-term record can be found in: Lowe, W.H. 2022. Mark-recapture data of the Northern Spring Salamander (Gyrinophilus porphyriticus), Hubbard Brook Experimental Forest, 2012 – present ver 3. Environmental Data Initiative. https://doi.org/10.6073/pasta/cd5f5a03df194930bf87eb12157b8182 (Accessed 2026-10-29). Code for the analysis of these data can be found in: https://doi.org/10.5281/zenodo.23678831 This data set includes spatially explicit mark-recapture data of the Northern Spring Salamander (Gyrinophilus porphyriticus) collected during the summer months (June – August) from downstream and upstream reaches in multiple streams in the Hubbard Brook Experimental Forest. These data were gathered as part of the Hubbard Brook Ecosystem Study (HBES). The HBES is a collaborative effort at the Hubbard Brook Experimental Forest, which is operated and maintained by the US Forest Service, Northern Research Station.
