Study design: Observational Study
Abstract: ABSTRACT This study aims to determine the relationship between factors reducing academic procrastination (academic self-efficacy, self-control, and time management) and civic disposition (civic responsibility and compliance with civic norms) of students in the Pancasila and Civic Education Study Program, University of Lampung. This study uses a quantitative approach with a correlational method. The sample consists of 66 students from the 2024 and 2025 cohorts, determined using the Taro Yamane formula and random sampling with proportional allocation. Data were collected through a Likert-scale questionnaire and supporting interviews, then analyzed with correlation and t-tests using SPSS version 25. The results show a positive, significant, and strong relationship between factors reducing academic procrastination and students’ civic disposition. The coefficient of determination indicates that 49.3% of the variation in civic disposition is related to these factors, while the remainder is related to other factors outside this study. Most students are in the moderate category, both for factors reducing academic procrastination and for civic disposition. Academic self-efficacy and compliance with civic norms are the strongest indicators, while self-control and civic responsibility most need strengthening. Interviews are generally consistent with the questionnaire findings. Students with better academic self-efficacy, self-control, and time management tend to have a higher civic disposition. This correlational study shows an association between variables, not causation. Academic guidance that strengthens self-control and time management can be combined with the habituation of responsibility.
