Konstruksi Makna Iklan Pornografi Terselubung pada Pengguna Platform X (Studi Kualitatif dengan Perspektif Gender pada Pengguna Aktif)
Year: 2026
Type: article
Abstract: The circulation of disguised pornographic advertisements on Platform X reflects the misuse of digital public space through hijacked viral topics, censored images of women’s bodies, and affiliate links promoting adult products. This study explores how active Platform X users interpret this phenomenon from a gender perspective. Using a descriptive qualitative approach, the research draws on Berger and Luckmann’s Social Construction Theory, van Zoonen’s Gender and Media Consumption Theory, and Sandra Harding’s Standpoint Theory. Eight active users, including four men and four women aged 18–35, were purposively selected. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, digital documentation, and a literature review. The findings show that male participants viewed these advertisements as information disruption and exploitation of women’s bodies, while female participants associated them with insecurity, image misuse, and objectification. Most users responded by ignoring, blocking, or reporting the accounts.
