Abstract: This study aims to describe the fulfillment of Kugy’s needs and her self-actualization. It employs a literary psychology approach based on Abraham Maslow’s hierarchy of needs theory, using a qualitative descriptive method. The research data consist of narrative excerpts, dialogues, and character actions in the novel. Data were collected through reading and note-taking, focusing on information relevant to the research objectives. The data were analyzed using content analysis. The findings indicate that Kugy’s physiological needs are fulfilled through access to housing, essential living necessities, and attention to her physical well-being. Her need for safety is reflected in her desire for independence and a stable income. Her need for love and belonging is fulfilled through relationships with those closest to her, while her esteem needs are fulfilled through support from the character Keenan. Kugy’s self-actualization is demonstrated through her journey toward becoming a fairy-tale writer, as reflected in her persistence in writing, the creation of the Jenderal Pilik dan Pasukan Alit series, and her courage to pursue her aspirations in accordance with her interests and personal potential.
