Abstract: , which were 5.82-, 5.50-, and 6.60-fold higher than those of the unmodified jute powder, respectively. Adsorption involved electrostatic attraction, coordination interactions, and partial reduction. Industrial wastewater studies indicated that MJP could effectively enrich the Pt, Pd, and Rh within the eluent, whereas impurity elements, such as Fe, were scarcely enriched. Sequential separation and purification of the enriched eluent by NH4Cl precipitation, NH3 hydrolysis, and NH3 complexation-acid precipitation yielded Pt, Rh, and Pd with direct recovery efficiencies of 98.7%, 96.7%, and 98.0%, respectively. Therefore, MJP can couple front-end adsorption and enrichment with downstream hydrometallurgical purification, providing an effective approach for recovering precious metals from complex low-concentration waste solutions and extending the potential of biomass-based adsorbents in hydrometallurgy.
