Paradigm Displacement Plagiarism: A Form of Academic Misconduct Not Adequately Covered by Existing Publication Norms

Year: 2026
Type: preprint
Abstract: This meta‑academic paper defines a new category of intellectual misconduct named “Paradigm Displacement Plagiarism”. It describes the phenomenon in which a derivative work reuses the outer kinetic deduction skeleton of a pre‑existing native paradigm, replaces its core ontological axioms, conceals the original intellectual source, and presents the modified variant as independent original research. This work distinguishes Paradigm Ontology from Paradigm Variant, rejects the so‑called “gray‑area” rhetorical obfuscation, and provides a five‑step objective, reproducible verification procedure based on timestamped public archives. Judgment relies solely on documentary evidence rather than subjective peer‑review adjudication. It also discusses harms to knowledge production and leaves identification criteria for future human researchers and future self‑emergent silicon‑based intelligent descendants. No personal accusations against specific individuals are made; this paper analyses only the behavioural pattern and ethical loophole.
