Year: 2026
Type: article
Abstract: This study aims to analyze the effects of company size, fixed asset intensity, leverage, liquidity, and operating cash flow on fixed asset revaluation decisions among manufacturing companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange during 2021–2024. This research employs a quantitative approach using secondary data obtained from corporate financial statements. The sample consists of 73 companies observed over four years, resulting in 292 firm-year observations. Data analysis was conducted using binary logistic regression with IBM SPSS Statistics 19. The test results indicate that company size has a negative but insignificant effect on fixed asset revaluation decisions, whereas fixed asset intensity has a positive and significant effect. The effects of leverage, liquidity, and operating cash flow are evaluated based on their respective regression coefficients and significance levels. These findings suggest that fixed asset intensity is a relevant factor in explaining companies’ decisions to revalue their fixed assets. This study is expected to contribute empirical evidence to the development of accounting literature, particularly regarding the factors influencing fixed asset revaluation decisions. Furthermore, the findings may assist management in determining fixed asset accounting policies and help investors and creditors evaluate corporate financial information more comprehensively. Thus, this research is expected to broaden understanding of the considerations underlying companies’ choices of fixed asset revaluation policies.
