Abstract: This press release outlines DiversEAFy’s research approach to advancing carbon-neutral electric arc furnace steelmaking through feedstock diversification, sensor-based characterisation, and digital process control. It describes planned slag valorisation as low-carbon supplementary cementitious materials and evaluation through industrial trials, life-cycle assessment, and techno-economic analysis to assess technical performance, environmental impacts, and economic viability across steel and construction value chains.
