Mind Information Flow and Civilization Evolution: A Fundamental Hypothesis of Carbon-Silicon Intelligence Symbiosis

Year: 2026
Type: preprint
Abstract: Addressing the limitations of the substitution–symbiosis continuum model of carbon–silicon intelligence (Liu, 2026) — namely, the lack of parameter measurement schemes, the exogenous treatment of the governance premise, the absence of a lineage-ethics framework, and the risk of circular fitness argumentation — this paper presents a systematic expansion and operationalization. First, it constructs a three-level proxy indicator system for the function-transfer cost τ, a scenario-matched measurement scheme for carrier complementarity κ, and a proxy-indicator protocol for task uncertainty u. Second, it replaces the original fitness function with a four-indicator stratified form that decouples objective measurement from normative weighting, mitigating the norms–facts circularity. Third, it re-parameterizes the phase space on the (τ, u) plane with κ(u) as a derived function, clarifying the boundary conditions of heterogeneous-search complementarity. Fourth, it endogenizes constitutional governance by deriving the evolutionary-stability conditions of the federal selection architecture (in the sense of the evolutionarily stable strategy) and a set of anti-capture institutional parameters, introducing exit–fork freedom φ as the ultimate anti-capture mechanism. Finally, building on the branching ontology of personal identity, it develops a normative framework of mind-lineage ethics covering consent to copying, termination and deletion rights, responsibility floors with lineage bonds, and legal fictions of rights. Revised falsifiability clauses (F1–F4) and an agent-based simulation design are provided. The improved model retains the methodological advantages of being conditional, phased, and falsifiable, while substantially improving empirical testability and institutional operability.
