The Locality of Physical Interactions: An Empirical Study on the Continuity and Irreversibility of Material Configuration Recombination
Year: 2026
Type: preprint
Abstract: This work investigates the locality of physical interactions and the continuity of material recombination by examining configurational evolution in material systems. Experimental observations and physical analysis show that physical interactions can only take place within present material configurations. Previously dissociated configurations lose the capacity to participate in interactions, and configurations that have not yet formed possess no physical reality. Material recombination is not an instantaneous jump but proceeds through a continuous, stepwise process involving dissociation of old coupling networks and formation of new ones. For the reaction , the disappearance of initial configurations and emergence of product configurations follow strictly continuous topological transitions. This study shows that “past” and “future” do not qualify as physical entities; they are merely informational states extrapolated from present material carriers. The physical picture of material evolution consists in the stepwise recombination of material units under conservation constraints, propagating along interaction chains from the present configuration to its successor.
