Abstract: Research and news about Indian insurance changed at different speeds: research grew faster than research in general, and the news share fell; household searching rose and funding rounds fell since 2021. Activity is concentrated in a few places and firms. Failed checks are reported as failed. This paper compares how Indian insurance appears in research, news, search, company registers, funding announcements, app stores and patents, 2017-2026, within each source's time window. Insurance here covers life, health and general (non-life) cover, crop and other government-backed schemes, reinsurance and the brokers, agents, comparison sites and software firms that sell and service policies. Layer 1 gives exact counts under stated rules. Layer 2 reads sentences with fixed word templates, checked by an automated second reader (a small computer model, not a person).
