Abstract: This proposed research aims to investigate and analyze how formal education affects the performance of the inspectors, as well as how training affects the performance of the inspectors, and how the combination of education, training and competence affects the performance of the inspectors in the Regional Airport Authority Office V Makassar. The quantitative methodology was used by sending questionnaires to the Air Navigation Inspectors and Airport Inspectors in the Airport Service and Operations Division. Since the overall population is rather small (39 respondents), a saturated sampling method was employed to choose the sample with the help of which 39 respondents, who can be offered the job of an inspector, were covered. The data were analyzed using SPSS version 27 and validity and reliability test were performed to guarantee data quality. The results are found to demonstrate the positive and statistically significant influence of education, training, and competence on the performance of inspectors with a coefficient of 0.316 at the level of significance of 0.005 (5%). The three variables closely explain 63.1 percent of the variance in inspector performance and the other 36.9 percent is explained by other factors, which are not discussed in this research.
