Monomials Between the Standards: Where the Quadratic Surface Begins, and the Quartic Never Arrives
Year: 2026
Type: preprint
Abstract: The monomial rolling-field class is mapped at intermediate initial conditions between the two computed standards: gated digit-for-digit on the far-standard packet's rows and the parent's standard-condition maxima (0.1815 / 0.0620 / 0.0319 / 0.0190 / 0.0128), every even member's maximum rises monotonically in phi_i across the interval, the quartic conditions nowhere in (0.5, 2.0) — on a fine grid of step 0.05 its maximum climbs to the gated 0.6550 at the far endpoint, still 0.028 short — and the quadratic's surface begins inside the interval at phi_i* = 1.2035, bisected, its members gentling from w0 = -0.630 at phi_i = 1.25 to -0.907 at the far standard. Quantum gravity NOT SOLVED; vacuum catastrophe NOT SOLVED.
