Regulation of vaccine-induced anti-fungal Th17 cells
Description: Project Narrative The number of fungal infections has risen dramatically in the United States over the last 10 years, and is now among the top 10 causes of death, partly because we lack vaccines against fungi. To address this unmet medical need, we are working on vaccine strategies and have discovered a novel adjuvant that we will characterize and functionally test in vaccines against fungi. The knowledge gained will lead to the development of new and better vaccines against microbial pathogens.
