A new model system to study brain aging and neurodegeneration
Description: PROJECT NARRATIVE Metabolic dysfunction is a common hallmark of aging and neurodegenerative disease. However, the reasons for age-related loss of energy homeostasis remain poorly understood due to limitations in systems to study the molecular mechanisms involved. This study will develop a new model system for studying how the neuroendocrine region of the brain ages.
