Improving the design and statistical analysis of cluster-randomized trials on tropical infectious diseases
Description: PROJECT NARRATIVE In clinical studies of tropical infectious diseases, there is a major gap between the emergence of novel designs of cluster-randomized trials (CRTs) and the development of corresponding statistical methods, which hampers the efficient estimation and valid interpretation of the intervention effect estimates. Exploiting advances in causal inference methods and computational tools, the applicant will improve the design and statistical analysis to achieve validity and efficiency for a wide range of infectious disease CRTs.
