Quantifying insecticide impact on malaria transmission: does resistance matter?
Description: PUBLIC HEALTH RELEVANCE: While there are growing concerns that insecticide resistance could threaten the sustainability of current malaria vector control, surprisingly little is known about how resistance ultimately affects malaria transmission. We aim to conduct novel empirical and theoretical studies to better understand the epidemiological significance of insecticide resistance. The research will advance fundamental understanding of resistance and inform the development of improved resistance management strategies.
