Abstract: This paper diacussa a computer-based speech therapy tutor which exploits recent developments in highspeed proce$or technology to display an amment of vowel quality as an utterance is being made.The visual feedback methods, the analysis algorithms used, the system hardware, and the results of early clinical trials are covered.
