Abstract: A purification system for 3 He has been produced and its performance investigated. Rapid processing rates as high as 230 mu mol s -1 were available, while the concentration of impurity in the product was kept below 10 p.p.m. Experiments showed a relation between the processing rate, the heater power at the boiler and the impurity concentration, indicating the important role of the continuous condenser in purification of the gas.
