A numerical model for superresolution effect in optical discs

Abstract: A simplified computational model for super resolution effect in optical discs is proposed and simulations are compared with experimental results, providing basic understanding of this phenomenon. Simulations show that resolution beyond the diffraction limit is achieved and signal destruction occurs at some frequencies when the super resolution layer is activated.
