Determination of spin diffusion and thermal conductivity in a randomly diluted two-dimensional kinetic Ising model by computer simulation
Year: 1977
Type: article
Abstract: The coefficients of spin diffusion and thermal conductivity are computed by simulating a randomly diluted two-dimensional kinetic Ising model at infinite temperature on the computer. These transport coefficients are estimated from the current-current correlations extrapolated to the hydrodynamic regime. Initially the estimates show a rapid linear decrease with impurity concentration. The slopes of these curves are estimated from the computer data are found to be in reasonable agreement with corresponding theoretical estimates based on heuristic arguments that the authors expect to be valid at infinite temperature when the impurity concentration is vanishingly small. With increasing impurity concentration, the behaviour of both the spin diffusion and thermal conductivity is found to depart significantly from linearity.
