Abstract: It has been demonstrated that urea (1,2,3,4,5,8,9,11,12,13,14,15,16, 17,20), ammonium bicarbonate (5), ammoniated beet pulp (10) and ammoniated molasses and similar products (7) may serve as sources of nitrogen for growth and production by cattle. There are available considerable tonnages of industrial by-products which, if ammoniated, might prove to be valuable sources of feed for ruminant animals. The purpose of the experiments presented in this report was to determine the value of some of these products in the rations of growing dairy calves.EXPERIMENTAIJ
