Abstract: PHILW C. SThFFEY Santa Monica, California A brief critique of published evidence for rapid expansion of OB associations is presented followed by results of a detailed study of the internal motions in Orion OBla, which show that a dominant stream velocity component combined with a member distance increase across the group can produce the apparent expansion discovered by Lesh (1968b).
