Abstract: There is a large area of selenium-rich soil in Leping city,Jiangxi province.The comparative study on the selenium-enriching ability of different types of vegetable in Leping was conducted.The results showed that the vegetable of shallot and garlic type had the highest selenium content among different types of vegetable;the selenium-enriching ability of the studied vegetable species had the following sequence: leeksweet potato garlic taroharicot beancowpeacapsicumbalsam peartowel gourdeggplant.
