Abstract: It was Clarified that one of the photochemical reaction products of ubiquinone (35) (I) had the structure (II) where one of the double bonds of the isoprene side chain of I was conjugated with the quinone nucleus. It was named isoubiquinone (35). γ-Hydroxyisoubiquinone (35) (VII) was obtained by treating ubichromenol (35) (IV) with lithium aluminum hydride.
