Oxide Dispersion Strengthened Steel (14YWT) Tube Fabrication and Processing

Abstract: In order to support the Fuel Cycle Research and Development program funded by the US Department of Energy, irradiation testing of thin-walled tubes fabricated from Oxide Dispersion Strengthened (ODS) steels is required. Tubes will be irradiated in the BOR-60 reactor in Dimitrovgrad, Russia, for 10-20 dpa at 370°C and 410°C. This report summarizes efforts to process plate ODS material into tubing, and gives details of the 32 tubes submitted for irradiation testing.
