Fourier's Solutions of the Conditions of Compatibility in Rectangular Cartesian Coordinates

Type: article
Abstract: Incompatibility tensors in rectangular Cartesian coordinates are derived for making clear the analytical scheme of the conditions of compatibility. The existence of three kinds of solution methods to be constructed through the difference of stress components which are used as unknown functions is shown. One is the method in which normal stress components and shearing stress components are used as unknown functions, the others are the methods in which normal stress components or shearing stress components are used as unknown functions. Fourier's solutions of three solution methods are perfectly coincide with those of the displacement method.
