Abstract: In order to make clear the characteristics of flame front disturbances of premixed flames anchored by cylinders, the behavior of the flame front disturbances generated at cylinder has been examined in detail. The experiments were carried out for different heat transfer conditions of cylinder, and the relationship between cylinder temperature and flame front disturbances was examined. As the cylinder temperature increases, generation frequency of flame front disturbances increases, and the mean scale of flame front disturbances decreases. The behavior of the flame front disturbances does not depend only on cylinder temperature because the mean scale and generation frequency of flame front disturbances for the flames at the same cylinder temperature are not always consistent, respectively.
