Class Matters: Sensitivity of BRAF-Mutant Melanoma to MAPK Inhibition
Year: 2018
Type: article
Abstract: Mutations in BRAF outside of the 600 codons (BRAF non- V600) occur across cancer types, including in 3% to 5% of melanomas. The optimal treatment strategies are not clear but based on preclinical studies could include MEK inhibitors. Combining BRAF and MEK inhibitors in this population may provide additional benefit.
