Abstract: Introduction. Cronic hepatitis C(HCV)virus infectionhas a strong association with an increased risk of developing kidney diseases, including clear cell renal carcinoma (CRC), whose incidence has increased worldwide in the last decades. Case report. A 54-year-old patient with chronic HCV infection who was treated with peginterferon alfa-2a; presenting, after 2 years of this treatment, a painful tumor located in the frontal cranial region, which histologically corresponds to a renal cell adenocarcinoma, without objectifying renal lesions in the extension study. Discussion. CRC is rare and its incidence varies depending on the region. In its therapeutic management it is necessary to emphasize resistance to the usual chemotherapy and immunological sensitivity, so that one of the therapeutic alternatives that has proved improvement in patients’ survival is based on high doses of interleukin or interferon alfa. As previously reported in the literature, we suggest the regression of primary renal tumor because ofpeginterferon alfa 2nd treatment.
