Abstract: Democracy and political participation are connected.The process of limitation of power can be considered as the process of proliferation of political participation.The demand for possession and protection of rights and freedoms of individuals has directed them to be involved in decision-making processes.When political participation is considered as the limitation of power and participation of individuals in decision-making processes, the concept of politics requires to be acted as "State" science.Limitation of power and participation of individuals constituting society into the process of decision making take an important place in democratic criteria.Differences such as gender, age, occupation, education, financial assets among individuals have provided political participation to be expressed on different grounds in the historical process, and has led to struggle against the sovereign in the acquisition this rights.The age factor involved in these differences is perceived and used in different forms in the political arena.The most significant place and time of the level of political participation that will emerge in the same direct with the development process of political culture that can be seen in the concept of "youth" is universities and higher education institutes.Therefore, it is important to evaluate the political participation of university students.In this study, it is aimed to examine the political participation level of Kilis 7 Aralık University students.In this direction, a survey was conducted among the students studying at Kilis 7 Aralık University in undergraduate level.Political participation is defined theoretically and it is targeted to reach a conclusion with the information obtained from the survey results.
