Abstract: This research is motivated by the use of the learning model used, apparently not interesting for students.This study aims to determine the increase in physics achievement of students with a cooperative type TPS model that is better than the physics learning achievement of students with a scientific approach in the 12th Mathematics and Natural Sciences of SMA N 12 Padang.The samples used were grouped and two classes were selected, namely control experiments.The instruments used in this study were essay and observation tests.Based on the results of data analysis, the average cognitive value in the experimental class = 81.75 and the control class = 77.54, the affective value in the experimental class = 58.95 and the control class = 55.39.The statistical test used is a one-tailed t-test.Based on the calculation results obtained th = 1.73 with t table = 1.66, because th> t table, so H0 is rejected and H1 is accepted.Therefore, it can be concluded that student achievement with the cooperative model of time share type is better than student physics learning achievement using a scientific approach
