Abstract: : The purpose of this paper is to review the political process that led to the declaration of Betanzos as a Historic-Artistic Site, this being a case study that will surely make it possible to understand the relationship that the brigantine city has with its heritage. --- Resumo: O presente traballo ten por obxecto repasar o trámite político que deu lugar á declaración de Betanzos coma Conjunto Histórico-Artístico, sendo este un estudo de caso que seguramente permitirá entender a relación que a cidade brigantina ten co seu patrimonio. --- Resumen: El presente trabajo tiene por objeto repasar el trámite político que dio lugar a la declaración de Betanzos como Conjunto Histórico-Artístico, siendo este un estudio de caso que seguramente permitirá entender la relación que la ciudad brigantina tiene con su patrimonio.
