Abstract: In this paper we investigate effects of variab le v iscosity and variable thermal conductivity on the steady flow and heat transfer of Maxwell flu id over an exponentially stretching sheet. Momentum equation and energy equation are solved numerically using an imp licit finite-difference scheme known as Keller-bo x method. The numerical solutions for the wall skin friction coefficients, heat transfer coefficient and the velocity and temperature profiles are co mputationally analyzed and discussed through graphs and tables. Here Prandtl nu mber also treated as variable because it depends on variable v iscosity and variable thermal conductivity. It is found that skin friction coefficient and heat transfer coefficient are lower for the Maxwell flu id of constant viscosity and thermal conductivity.
