Abstract: This article aims to reconstruct the Brazilian trajectory of Estudios San Miguel, one of the main Argentine film production companies of the classic studio system, which sought to carve a space in the Brazilian market. The text examines the performance of São Miguel Filmes do Brasil underscoring two coproductions: Não me diga adeus (Luis José Moglia Barth, 1948) and Mundo estranho (Francisco Eichorn, 1948), their distribution, and critical reception.
