Abstract: In this chapter, Moth-Flame Optimization (MFO) algorithm is discussed and improved from the computational cost point of view. While many of the adjustments and improvements on an optimization algorithm, such as Moth-Flame Optimizer (MFO), aim to enhance its performance in terms of the accuracy of optimal solutions obtained, here we concentrate on the implementation of the algorithm and show how a vectorized MFO (vMFO) can significantly boost the computation time.
